Flashback to 2007, the day of my exam. The college atmosphere buzzed with students everywhere – intense study sessions, group discussions, and books scattered around like tools in a war zone.
I made a last-minute entrance, just 15 minutes before the exam. Rushing to the library to return books, I settled into a chair and opened one, focusing on the exam to write.
Out of the blue, a classmate I hadn’t noticed said, “Just seeing you make my confidence drop. Your confidence to face exams is inspiring.” It was an unexpected statement of the impact I had on others.
As a shy, introverted girl from a small village, I faced judgment and teasing in the college library. Despite the initial challenges, I remained consistent with discipline and daily activities, staying committed even while living away from my family in the hostel.
The incident taught me a valuable lesson – no matter the circumstances, stay focused on your goals. Life throws humiliations and unexpected situations, but determination and inner strength will carry you through. Stick to your goals, even when returns aren’t immediate.
Initially, staying focused may seem difficult, but long-term consistency and focus will lead you to success.
My college goal was clear – earn applause for achievements, not appearances. I wanted people to recognize me for what I accomplished, not my dress sense or communication skills.
